On January 12, 2010 a 7.0 scale earthquake struck Haiti, destroying most of the country and killing over 200,000. The people of Haiti need our help; they are running low on water, food, shelter, and most importantly, medical supplies. Around the world people have come together to show their support and their willingness to help this catastrophic event. It is time for the Lawrence community to unite and continue to show our support for Haiti.
It is important for everyone around the world to stay aware and do everything we can to help those in need.
Several student organizations from KU have come together to host a benefit concert for Haiti. Its a great way to have fun and do something great for the people who have been affected by the earthquake.
Tickets are $5 (suggested donation), all proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Red Cross for their relief efforts in Haiti.
